You’ve got your favorite beers; but now you find yourself needing to select one that is a good all-around beer that appeals to guests and compliments the food you are serving.  This past Thanksgiving is a good example.  What do you choose that will go well with your food selection and most of your beer drinking guests would like?  Creature Comforts Table Beer is crafted for just such occasions.

Athens, GA based Creature Comforts Brewing Co. set out to make an “everyday” beer that could be a go to selection for just about any meal.  With input from executive chefs, Ryan Smith of Atlanta’s Staplehouse, and Peter Dale of Athens’ the National, Table Beer is crafted specifically to be an easy choice for a variety of food pairings.

Table Beer pours a brilliantly clear, light yellow color with a bright white head exhibiting excellent head retention.  Aromas include pleasant citrus and peppery notes from the hops and a very mild grainy note malts.  Flavors duplicate the citrus and peppery aromas. Nicely balanced between a light malt sweetness and restrained hops bitterness.  Dry on the palate with light carbonation, culminating in a crisp, medium finish.  Bitterness is present; but not over powering or offensive.  Combine those characteristics with a 4.2% ABV and you’ve got about a perfect beer pairing for just about any meal.

Bottom line:  Creature Comforts Brewing Co. continues to impress with its versatile lineup of year round and seasonal beers.  If you’ve had their Tropicalia IPA or Classic City Lager, you know how well they straddle lager and ale styles.  If you are looking for something with wide appeal to your beer drinking guests for the Holidays, Table Beer is an excellent choice.
