Mmmmm...Dunkel. @ayinger_privatbrauerei Altbairisch Dunkel 5% abv. Old Bavarian Dark Beer. Before pale beers there was dark beer. Dunkel is a dark, malty flavorful lager beer that drinks easy. Well suited for any time of year, but particularly welcome on a chilly North Georgia evening in February. There are not many made finer than Ayinger. What are you enjoying this weekend? Cheers!🍻
Do any of you Forsyth Co craft beer enthusiasts recognize the gentleman on the right? I was reading the Atlanta beer history book (yeah I'm a beer nerd) by @boozehistoryatl and @maryboylejewelry - Atlanta Beer A Heady History of Brewing in the Hub of the South - and low and behold came across this picture of a local brewer in FoCo. Any guesses? This is a really awesome book that doesn't just chronical Atlanta brewing history but very much parallels Atlanta history its self. Great read, highly recommend it.
Some sweet Vienna Lager from @nofobrewco is my reward for the week from heck at work. Full bodied and tasty with the perfect balance of bitter hops and sweet malt. Looks purdy in the glass too! Cheers @nofo_brewer_jonny
@creaturecomfortsbeer Get Comfortable 2021 collaboration with @sierranevada. It's a Hazy Double IPA checking in at 8% ABV. Gotta hand it to Creature Comforts and Sierra Nevada for coming correct on this. Notice it isn't so hazy. Well, they admitted right up front this one got away from them a little bit. Much respect 👊. Nonetheless, if you like a hoppy, above average ABV IPA with requisite bitterness, this one is right down the middle of the plate. Just like last years collab with Allagash had their fingerprints all over it, so does this one have Sierra Nevada's. It's fully loaded with Citra and experimental hop HBC 586. To me, pine dominates the aroma laced with tropical and citrus notes. Sweet malt backbone carries a resinous, spicy flavor start to finish. Medium body with drying finish. Moderate to aggressive bitterness that builds and lingers after the finish. Best part: 100% of profits goes to Creature's Get Comfortable Campaign. Learn more about Get Comfortable and CCB's other community involvement campaigns at www.getcurious.com. Kudos to Creature Comforts and Sierra Nevada! 🍻
@weihenstephan_official Hefe Weissbier is now available in cans in the U.S. This classic example of Hefeweizen comes in a beautiful 16oz can. Now the spicy flavors and unique yeasty notes of banana and clove along with the creamy, full body of German wheat bier can accompany you to more places. World class Hefeweizen! Love it! Purchased at @totalwinegeorgia
Monks rock! And so does this @kloster_andechs1455 Doppelbock Dunkel 7.1% ABV. Doppelbock is such a satisfying beer style. Liquid bread. It's malt forward, soft and silky, but not overly sweet or sticky. Perfect February beer IMHO. If you've never tried a Doppelbock before, you've got to go find one. I'm betting you'll enjoy it. It's a pure joy to drink.
